The Arthur star, who won an Academy Award for her portrayal of Elizabeth II in 2006's The Queen, told Digital Spy that she will be in America with her husband, director Taylor Hackford, when the ceremony takes place on Friday.
She said: "I won't not be watching it if you know what I mean. I won't go, 'Ugh, I'm not going to watch that!' I'm not going to be [in London] and I'm not going to be glued to the TV set for 24 hours, no. I'm sure I'll catch bits of it."
Mirren added that she is looking forward to seeing Middleton's wedding dress and the "fairytale Cinderella" glass coach, which carried Princess Diana to her wedding with Prince Charles in 1981.
"I want to see what she's wearing," Mirren commented. "I love it when the coach comes out, I love that coach, that fairytale Cinderella of a coach. All girls have a little dream of Cinderella in their hearts, including me."
William and Kate will tie the knot at Westminster Abbey this Friday in front of a global audience expected to top two billion.
