Trump has given a myriad of public interviews over the last few weeks, wherein he revealed that he's hired private investigators to look into Obama's background, further suggesting that the president fears his own possible political bid.
While being interviewed on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Rock jokingly declared that Trump might actually have a solid chance of being elected.
"He might win," the comic teased. "He's got enough ex-wives to vote for him."
Rock went on to criticise those who doubt Obama's eligibility to hold office, claiming that they are throwing tantrums just as a spoiled child would.
He explained: "A child acts up the most before they go to sleep. And when I see the Tea Party, these people marching and [saying] the president ain't from America, and I can't live in this country... I'm like, oh, they [are] acting up!
"They're getting ready to go to sleep…You literally think they are possessed by the devil. Then you turn your head for a second and they're out cold."
The former Saturday Night Live alumni is the latest in a series of celebrities who have knocked Trump's political aspirations. Most recently, Robert De Niro indicated that he finds Trump's doubts about Obama's birthplace to be "crazy", drawing a fiery response from the Celebrity Apprentice star in return.
The Celebrity Apprentice airs Sundays at 9pm ET/8pm CT on NBC.
