Christina Aguilera praises "lovely" boyfriend

Christina Aguilera has praised her boyfriend Matthew Rutler, insisting that he's "lovely".

The singer, who began dating the set designer when they met while working on the film Burlesque, wouldn't comment any further about their relationship.

Aguilera, whose divorce to Jordan Bratman was finalised earlier this month, told host Ellen DeGeneres: "There is someone very lovely in my life. Yes."

Aguilera, who stumbled over the lyrics to the American National Anthem when performing at the Super Bowl NFL game earlier this year, also explained that she's learned to laugh about the incident.

She said that the experience has helped her become stronger.

Aguilera also insisted that people will see a different side to her on new show The Voice.
