Ricky Nixon has broken his silence on his affair with a schoolgirl.
The 48-year-old former Australian Football League player and manager, who admitted to having "inappropriate dealings" with 17-year-old Kim Duthie earlier this year, has filmed a tell-all interview for current affairs show Sunday Night.
Seven's head of news and current affairs Peter Meakin told the Herald Sun: "I can confirm that, after weeks of negotiation, we will be screening his story on Sunday Night. I am told it is emotional, even heated. Mr Nixon walks out a couple of times, then returns to continue his defence."
He also confirmed that Nixon was not paid for the interview, saying: "We paid a fee to an independent documentary producer for her material and her assistance in arranging the interview. We stipulated that this payment was solely for her services. We have made no other payment. Nor will we."
The interview was carried out by reporter Ross Coulthard.
Sunday Night has also filmed an interview with AFL star Brendan Fevola, who checked into rehab earlier this year following a drinking binge. He revealed in March that he tried to commit suicide.
