Kate Hudson 'to take time out after baby'

Kate Hudson has revealed that she is planning to take a break from acting following the birth of her second child.

The Something Borrowed star is currently expecting her first baby with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy and recently revealed that she and the British musician are engaged.

Speaking to Hello magazine, Hudson said that she is keen to focus on spending time with her baby and son Ryder, 7, from her marriage to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, once her new arrival is here.

"I'll have the baby to look after and Ryder is at an age where it's so fun with his baseball and karate. If I work, I'll have to go away from that and I don't want to miss another second of it," she said.

"I'll carry on working but only if the film's really special. Maybe this is the time in my career where I shift focus and spend more time at home. It'll be interesting."

The 32-year-old said earlier this month that she enjoyed the experience of being a young mother when Ryder was born.
