The Machete actress and husband Cash Warren announced in February that their 2-year-old daughter Honor Marie would soon be joined by a new sibling.
In an interview with Latina magazine, Alba remarked that she's learned the best approach to dealing with cravings is to simply indulge them.
"Sometimes you can't get a food out of your mind," she lamented. "I could always eat watermelon. With Honor, I loved fruit, too. It's a decent craving. You still eat cheeseburgers and pickles - you just want watermelon really bad."
The star added: "I don't deprive myself of anything. I eat whatever."
Alba also explained that she's taken a more relaxed approach to exercising during her latest pregnancy.
"I'd like to still do something five days a week, from a half hour to an hour - nothing excessive, just some moving [around]," she added. "It makes the whole pregnancy so much easier. The more fit you are, the easier the birth is, and a healthier baby you're going to have."
Earlier this month, Alba professed that giving birth to Honor in 2008 helped her to become more accepting of any physical imperfections.
