Nancy Dell'Olio: 'I like men of passion'

Nancy Dell'Olio has said that she is attracted to "men who are passionate".

The former girlfriend of Sven Goran Eriksson made the comments after her relationship with married theatre director Sir Trevor Nunn was revealed.

Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph, Dell'Olio said: "I love Trevor's passion. I am always drawn to men who are passionate."

The Italian lawyer, who previously said that she is "fed up of straight men", first met Nunn after watching his production of a Shakespeare play in 2004.

"I loved his production of Hamlet," said Dell'Olio. "I love something that is done perfectly, whether it is in sport, or the theatre, in whatever field.

"I think at that production of Hamlet everyone was drawn together. It was such a perfect production. Great things like that are very unifying."

Meanwhile, Nunn has revealed that although his relationship with actress-wife Imogen Stubbs has been over for a while, the couple remain amicable.

"The fact is the relationship with Imogen had not been working for more than two years," he said. "We did our best, for the sake of the children, to keep it together, but we could not.

"We remain friends now - I think that is the mature way of handling something like this. You can't throw away all the time you had together."
