Karl Stefanovic: 'I'm such a rascal'

Karl Stefanovic has described himself as a "rascal".

The television presenter, who won the Gold Logie award and the gong for 'Most Popular Presenter' on Australian TV on Sunday night, said that he got up to some naughty "shenanigans" on the flight home from covering the royal wedding in London.

Stefanovic told The Daily Telegraph that he was dared by a fellow Nine Network reporter to "do a Sarah Ferguson" and lick as many people's toes as he could on the plane, with a $100 (£60) reward for each.

He revealed: "I'm a bit of a rascal. I think I got [Ben Fordham's] and that was it because everyone else was awake, awake to my shenanigans."

Stefanovic, who also beat Adam Hills, Chrissie Swan, Shaun Micallef and Hamish Blake to take the prize for 'Most Popular Presenter', said that his Gold Logie win had not sunk in.

Swan was instead named 'Most Popular New Female Talent', despite stars including Eddie McGuire complaining that she had been on TV too long to be considered "new".

She has also denied a rift with her Circle co-host Denise Drysdale, with Drysdale allegedly threatening to hand her two Logie Awards back if Swan was awarded one.
