Hemsworth brothers in fight over 'Thor'

Chris Hemsworth has revealed that his relationship with his brother Liam is reportedly awkward.

The actor, who beat his younger brother for the lead role in Thor, spoke to the New York Daily News about the pair's relationship.

"Christmas dinner was very awkward," he said. "We haven't spoken since."

Chris Hemsworth is under consideration for the lead role in Snow White and the Huntsman. Viggo Mortensen was previously rumoured for the part, but ultimately dropped out of negotiations. Twilight star Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron will reportedly play Snow White and the Evil Queen respectively.

He recently stated that he is excited to star in The Avengers, in which he will reprise the character of Thor.

Meanwhile, younger brother Liam was recently cast in The Hunger Games. He will portray Gale Hawthorne, a love interest for Jennifer Lawrence's character Katniss Everdeen.

Thor opened in UK cinemas on Friday and will launch in the US on May 6.
