The singer previously confirmed his plans to write fiction last year. At the time he told fans that his first story would be titled The Strawberry Barbecue.
"I had a meeting with my book publishers last week," Andre said in his latest New magazine column. "I can't say too much but I'm working on some children's books and I can't wait until you can read them."
He added: "We've come up with a great idea - I think they're going to be fab."
Andre, who has two children with ex-wife Katie Price, recently told Digital Spy that his "dream job" would be to present The X Factor.
Last year he released his picture autobiography 'My World: In Pictures and Words.
