Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard not having wedding

Kristen Bell has revealed that she does not want to have a wedding.

The Scream 4 actress - who announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Dax Shepard in February 2010 - insisted that the couple feel that holding a ceremony to mark their union is not important.

"We're just not having a wedding, so there's no story to report there," she explained to US Weekly.

"I mean, we're still getting married, but we're going to do it whenever we feel like it. The fact that he asked me to marry him is of a little more importance than me planning a party."

Bell previously planned to walk down the aisle but revealed that she did not want a "massive" production to be made out of the day.

The couple began dating in 2008. Shepard proposed over the Christmas holidays in late 2009.

Bell previously dated Glee star Matthew Morrison when the pair were at college together.
