Donny Osmond: 'Marie wedding was perfect'

Donny Osmond has described his sister Marie's decision to remarry former husband Steve Craig as a "perfect Cinderella story with a fairy tale ending".

It was reported yesterday that Marie and her spouse tied the knot in a private Las Vegas ceremony on Wednesday.

Donny has now revealed that Marie quickly organised the wedding so as not to attract undue attention.

"This was a last-minute thing," he told Entertainment Tonight. "Not very many people knew about it. Marie told me so I had to keep it very quiet. She wanted it simple and that's what it was."

Ever since the pair divorced in 1985, Donny said that he hoped Craig would rejoin the Osmond family.

"Steve has always been a very special part of Marie's heart. It was a perfect Cinderella story with a fairy tale ending. They were sealed together again, forever," he remarked.

The singer continued: "Despite what has happened in the past, these two people are right for each other… My sister is so happy."

Marie and Steve are the parents to one child together, a 28-year-old son named Stephen James.
