Katy Perry: 'I completely trust Russell Brand'

Katy Perry has claimed that the reason her marriage to comedian Russell Brand works so well is because they completely trust each other.

The singer, who is currently number one in the US with her single 'E.T.', said that she believes everything Brand tells her.

"I don't care what people say about my relationship," Perry told Vanity Fair, regarding the amount of press coverage the couple receive.

"[Russell] never lied to me once. I trust him. There's just a level of trust that we've built up."

Perry also downplayed speculation that she had been angry at Brand in January, after he posted a photograph of the singer in bed without any make-up on.

"I didn't really care," Perry said of the incident. "I mean, when I go to rehearsals I look like that.

"It takes a village to make me who I am, you don't have to wake up looking like, you know, Gisele."

Perry and Brand married in October 2010 in a small private ceremony in India, and Perry recently revealed that the couple had turned down "millions" in magazine deals to ensure they had the day to themselves.
