Bryan Adams receives the 2,435th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Bryan Adams and personal assistant Alicia Grimaldi have welcomed their first child.

A rep for the singer - who first announced the pregnancy in March - announced last month's birth of daughter Mirabella on Thursday.

People quotes a statement from the 'Cuts Like A Knife' star which reads: "I'm really proud to announce on 22 April, Mirabella Bunny was born.

"She arrived like all good Easter bunnies on Easter Friday. Mother and baby are both well and happy. Thanks in advance for your kind thoughts and wishes."

Adams also used his Twitter account to confirm the news, briefly saying: "Thanks for the thoughts and wishes."

The musician was recently honoured with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

He will tour mainland Europe in June and July and returns to the UK in December for a 20th anniversary tour of his sixth studio album Waking Up The Neighbours. The record includes his breakthrough hit '(Everything I Do) I Do It For You.'
