According to The Mirror, the Tudors star recently spent ten days at a London facility for alcohol addiction.
He is said to have ended his stay - which is thought to be his fourth time seeking treatment - early in order to fulfill "work commitments" on several upcoming projects.
Representatives for the star have not responded to the reports.
Rhys Meyers first entered rehab in April 2007 and was arrested later that year for drunk and disorderly conduct aboard a flight to Dublin.
He again reportedly sought treatment for his addiction in February 2009, though he later dismissed claims that he had done so.
The actor was taken into custody for a second time in June 2009 after allegedly assaulting an airport employee in Paris while under the influence of alcohol.
It was recently reported that Rhys Meyers will not face charges stemming from an additional incident at New York's JFK airport in May 2010 which subsequently led to him being banned from flying on United Airlines.
