The Australian fashion designer and TV personality, who has daughters Brooke and Amanda, said that all the "joy" left her life when son Francesco died from cot death at only 10 days old.
Tabberer told The Sunday Mail: "He was such a beautiful, big baby. He just looked perfect.
"[When a child dies], it takes the joy out of you. You know you live and you go on doing what you're doing, but you know you're not joyous. There's no joy for a long time. That's the philosophy really. That you are dealt certain cards and you just have to cope with that."
As part of a feature to mark Mother's Day in Australia, singer Tina Arena also revealed that she struggled to remain philosophical after having two miscarriages just six months apart.
She said: "The greatest power is nature and nature will always decide what's right. So if a child doesn't stay, it means that they weren't meant to. And that's the way I console myself."
Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden was "devastated" after her newborn baby was stillborn earlier this year, while singer Lily Allen has said that being hospitalised by her second miscarriage changed her whole outlook on life.
