Regis Philbin inks deal to pen memoir

The talkshow host has inked a deal with Harper Collins imprint It Books to open up about his personal life and career in an as-yet-untitled autobiography.
Describing the book as a "personal thank you" to his fans, Philbin said in a press release that it will delve into his relationship with former and current Live! co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Kelly Ripa.
Among the other subjects to be probed will be Philbin's encounters with celebrities including George Clooney and Jack Nicholson, as well as his long-held admiration for Jerry Seinfeld.
The TV presenter's new book will be released this fall.
Philbin recently confirmed that he plans to exit Live! With Regis & Kelly this year, but later insisted that he is not retiring. He has helmed the programme for more than 25 years.
