Penelope Cruz 'dressed as South Park poo'

Penelope Cruz has admitted that Johnny Depp made her dress up as a South Park character on the set of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Speaking to The Mirror, Cruz said that people have to be "very alert" around Depp, as the actor's mischievous character can catch people off guard.

She revealed that she ended up dressed as Mr Hankey the Christmas Poo from Matt Stone and Trey Parker's animated series after losing a bet with Depp.

"Johnny and I are both fans of South Park and the character Mr Hankey the Christmas Poo. It's absurd but very funny. Johnny made this outfit for me and we had a bet which I lost. And I had to wear the poo outfit on the set," Cruz explained.

"He was on the floor laughing and crying and he took a thousand pictures of me which I hope never come to light. But, of course, now that I've said it, I'm sure they will appear somewhere," she added.

The Spanish beauty recently applauded Depp's humour and said that she had been desperate to work with him again, following 2001's Blow.

Depp recently revealed that being around Cruz, who gave birth to son Leo in January, and her husband Javier Bardem, made him feel "broody".
