Published Friday, Apr 21 2006, 15:59 BST | By Susanna Regan
Singing sensation Charlotte Church has spent over £1.3 million in the three years since she turned eighteen.
The profits from her successful career as a child opera phenomenon left her with a fortune of £5 million in 2002, but records at Companies House show her registered assets were only £3.7 million by 2005 .
A home for the star and her boyfriend Gavin Henson, 24, in Cardiff cost £650,000. She also spent £5,000 on diamonds and similar amounts on lavish holidays.
Her mother Maria told The Sun that the singer's actual wealth was "at least" £7 million, as new figures were only for her business Charlotte Church Ltd and did not account for her personal fortune.
