Leonardo DiCaprio 'splits from Bar Refaeli'

Leonardo DiCaprio and his model girlfriend Bar Refaeli have reportedly ended their relationship.

Following indications that the pair had hit a "difficult patch" last week, a source has told the New York Post's Page Six that DiCaprio and Refaeli have now decided to part.

"It was amicable, they're still friends and they are still talking," the insider said. "They just grew apart and went their separate ways."

It is thought that the Inception actor and the Israeli star's split was brought about by their busy schedules, and not by the involvement of a third party.

"Neither were ready to settle down, and both have busy careers that have been taking them in different directions," the source claimed.

A spokesperson for DiCaprio declined to comment on the matter.

DiCaprio and Refaeli met at a party thrown in honour of rock band U2 in Las Vegas more than six years ago. They separated once before in 2007, eventually reuniting two years later.
