Mary Tyler Moore 'to have brain surgery'

The 73-year-old US TV icon has agreed to have doctors remove a meningioma, a benign tumour on the tissue lining of her brain.
Tyler Moore's representative confirmed to People: "At the recommendation of her neurologist, who has been monitoring this for years, and a neurosurgeon, Mary decided to proceed with this fairly routine procedure."
It has not yet been confirmed when Tyler Moore will enter hospital.
The Ordinary People actress was recently reunited with her Mary Tyler Moore Show co-star Betty White in a January episode of the latter's new sitcom Hot In Cleveland.
Tyler Moore is also known for her role in the iconic Dick Van Dyke Show, which ran between 1961 and 1966.
