Heidi Montag: 'I want more privacy in my life'

Heidi Montag has said that she values her privacy.

The former Hills star, who was recently confirmed to return to reality TV in the new series Famous Food, insisted that she plans to guard her personal life more closely going forward.

"From now on, I'm going to keep my life a little more private," she told People. "I think I was just doing The Hills for so long and I just needed a break [from Hollywood]. Plus, I enjoy my privacy."

However, she went on to add that she does not consider Famous Food to truly be a reality series and considers it more as a personal endeavour that just happens to be broadcast on TV.

"It's been pretty crazy. It's definitely different than [The Hills]," she continued. "This isn't TV to me. This is a show about us trying to open a restaurant. It's just coincidental there are cameras there."

Montag recently confessed that she never watched The Hills and has not seen the show's finale.
