Hamish Blake to take girlfriend to US

Hamish Blake has reportedly said that he will take his girlfriend with him when he moves to the US at the end of this month.

The Australian radio and TV personality, who is planning to live there for a year with comedy partner Andy Lee, has allegedly told friends that he is too seriously involved with writer Zoe Foster to struggle with a long-distance relationship.

According to the Herald Sun, Blake and Lee plan to have a "gap year" in New York to film a ten-part series for the Nine Network.

The pair wrote on their website: "We're going to find somewhere from New York to set up a makeshift studio that is big enough to house anyone that wants to join us. It'll be the the same kind of adventures we've had on radio and TV for the last five years, but all condensed into one weekly show."

Blake and Foster are believed to have been dating for about a year after co-writing Textbook Romance together. He split from long-term girlfriend Anna Jennings-Edquist in January 2010.

Lee has been single since splitting from supermodel Megan Gale late last year.
