Michael Parkinson has poked fun at Davina McCall for the calibre of her talk show's guests.

The TV host made the comments before filming commenced on his ITV show last week, when he had George Michael, Jamie Foxx and Alan Alda on.

He said: "[I have a] dream lineup [of] three great superstars...you don't get that on Davina, do you?"

McCall, who also presents Big Brother, was heavily criticised for both her guests and her enthusiasm, with Jonathan Ross adding that the show had also been badly produced. However, the star blamed the show's poor performance on a poor timeslot.
