Renee Zellweger has unveiled a statue paying tribute to Beatrix Potter.
The Bridget Jones star attended the ceremony at the 'World of Beatrix Potter' attraction in Cumbria, saying that she hoped the statue would become "a distinctive local landmark".
The statue features children chasing Potter character Jemima Puddleduck, a carving of one of her homes, characters from all of her books as well as the code used in her personal diary, according to BBC News Online.
Zellweger explained: "It brings the whole Miss Potter story to life to be in the places where Beatrix lived. Arriving in the Lake District is like the culmination of the journey we've been on these past few weeks."
Zellweger is currently filming a biopic of the author. Miss Potter will be released in January 2007.
