The Glee actor, who plays drama teacher Will Schuester, explained that he doesn't feel he has the right to judge others.
He told Heat: "I'm not a judge. It's something I've never even thought about or aspired to be."
The 32-year-old said that he thinks he would be good as a judge but would not feel comfortable in the role.
He added: "Not that there's anything wrong with it, and I'm sure I would probably be a decent judge, but I want to perform.
"I feel weird judging people, too, because in this business I get judged a lot, so I wouldn't want to be on the other side. Who am I to judge?"
Morrison announced yesterday that he will join the Backstreet Boys on tour.
