Rupert Everett missed curtain call having sex

Rupert Everett has revealed that he once missed a curtain call in a play while having sex in his dressing room.

The actor, who is currently starring in Pygmalion at the Garrick Theatre with Kara Tointon, told the Loose Women panel that he had a close encounter at the same theatre in his earlier performing years.

"I'm back in the same theatre that I was in back in 1989. I was a very, very naughty boy," he explained.

"Once, I was having sex in my dressing room when my call came and they said, 'Mr Everett to the stage', and I was completely naked, in the middle of, you know, something or other.

"I had to get my clothes on. All the people on stage were, like, chatting for four minutes while I ran, picked up my clothes, and got on stage."

Earlier this year, Everett claimed that coming out had ruined his career by dictating the types of roles that he was offered.
