Rachel McAdams, Michael Sheen confirm romance

Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen have confirmed that they are currently in a relationship.

The pair - who recently made their first public appearance together as a couple - were first linked in October 2010 after meeting on the set of Woody Allen's Midnight In Paris.

Talking to People at the New York City screening of the film, Sheen said: "Yeah, we are together. She's talented, intelligent, beautiful. She's warm and friendly. She's very supportive, and very kind, very funny. She makes me laugh a lot.

"Hopefully, I have some of those qualities as well."

McAdams also revealed that the pair hadn't purposely been keeping their relationship a secret, adding: "I don't think it was planned one way or the other. He's a fantastic actor. One of the best."

The actress recently confessed that she worried in the past that she would never be able to find true love.

McAdams's future projects include an untitled Terence Malick film. She will also reprise her role as Irene Adler in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
