Gary Lineker's brother has been jailed after committing an enormous tax scam.
Wayne Lineker was sentenced to two and a half years in prison after committing a £220,000 tax scam by smuggling money into Britain from eight bars dotted over Spain, Cyprus, Portugal and the Canary Islands.
Judge Stephen Robbins said: "Defrauding the Inland Revenue is a serious offence because it is defrauding the vast majority of honest taxpayers. You worked in the City and were in a position of trust and responsibility, which you used and abused."
Lineker had apparently revealed to police: "We don't declare all our takings to the tax authorities in Spain either, you know."
