Evangeline Lilly welcomes first child

Evangeline Lilly has given birth to her first child with boyfriend Norman Kali.

It was only confirmed last month that the former Lost star was expecting a child with Kali, whom she met on the set of the Fox series.

It has been confirmed that Lilly's child is a boy, although the couple have yet to announce the baby's name.

Lilly, who starred on all six season of Lost as the mysterious Kate Austen, said that she plans to take some time off from acting.

"I'm definitely planning on taking a break for a little while," Lilly told Us Magazine."I consider acting a day job, it's not my dream."

The actress previously dated fellow Lost star Dominic Monaghan for five years before the couple split in 2009.
