Last Friday, the former WWE Champion - real name Randall Poffo - was killed in a car accident in Tampa, Florida after suffering a heart attack while driving. His wife Lynn suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Savage's death drew tributes from several of professional wrestling's biggest stars including Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, who cited the 'Macho Man' as "one of [his] childhood inspirations and heroes".
Speaking to TMZ, Lanny Poffo revealed that his family has chosen to scatter his brother's ashes under the tree where Savage buried his beloved dog Hercules.
Lanny claimed that his sibling would often tell him: "If it's good enough for Herc, it's good enough for me."
No public memorial for Savage is being planned as per the wrestler's wishes, but a small funeral service is to be held for family and close friends.
Savage wrestled for more than 20 years, holding the WWE and WCW Championships a total of six times. In 2009, he was inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame.
