David Schwimmer becomes father to baby girl

David Schwimmer's wife has given birth to a girl, his representative has confirmed.

The former Friends star and his partner Zoe Buckman welcomed baby Cleo Buckman Schwimmer to the world on May 8.

Schwimmer met his British wife in London in 2007 when he was working on the film Run, Fat Boy, Run. The pair married in June last year, although they managed to keep the nuptials secret until October.

Schwimmer previously spoke about his desire to have a family and insisted that he plans to have a straightforward relationship with his kids.

He commented: "There are countless things to try to control or spy on your kids, but really experts say the number one thing you should do is just have that relationship with your kids and be present as a parent, communicative.

"Try to get your kids to trust that they can tell you who they are talking to online and what they are doing."
