During an appearance on The View, host Barbara Walters mentioned the fact that her father had been uncomfortable with her music career initially, mostly due to her revealing stage outfits.
When asked at what point he began to outwardly support her career, GaGa said that she feels he has always known she had the potential to succeed.
"I think that deep down he knew I always had it," GaGa explained. "It's just hard to watch your kids grow up and change and become themselves.
She continued: "I think also my dad was a bad boy and he loved rock 'n' roll. I think the thing that terrified him the most was that he saw himself inside of me."
GaGa released her second full-length studio album Born This Way today and is expected to top the music charts worldwide.
