Estella Warren in custody after fleeing DUI arrest

Actress-model Estella Warren is currently in police custody after attempting to escape a DUI arrest.

Los Angeles police sources told TMZ that Warren crashed her Toyota Prius into three parked cars just before midnight on Monday.

Rather than wait for the police to arrive, the star attempted to drive away, but was stopped by officers soon after on suspicion of driving under the influence.

"She was really hammered," a law enforcement source told the website.

After initially resisting arrest and kicking an arresting officer, Warren was taken to a local police station, but managed to escape her handcuffs while being booked.

While she was able to exit through a backdoor, Warren was quickly apprehended by authorities again just minutes later.

The model is to be booked on charges of engaging in a hit-and-run, driving under the influence, assault on a police official and felony escape.

Warren starred in the 2001 remake Planet of the Apes and has also landed guest roles in TV shows including That '70s Show and The Ghost Whisperer. She will next star with Paz Vega in the upcoming film The Last Tango, which is expected to be released this year.
