Ellie Goulding: 'Rihanna is cool and very hot'

Ellie Goulding has insisted that she doesn't have one definitive style and changes her look daily.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the 'Starry Eyed' singer revealed that she takes a varied approach to fashion and is inspired by many different celebrities when choosing her own wardrobe.

"Everyday I'd say I look different. Sometimes I look really formal, sometimes I love the classic Stella McCartney, Chloe Sevigny and Gwyneth Paltrow thing. Other days I like being rock star and wearing leather jackets and studs," she explained.

"I love wearing Burberry - it's the perfect combination of formal and punky. Because I divide my time between my house in Hammersmith - even though I'm never there - and [boyfriend] Greg [James's] flat I have clothes spaced out everywhere."

She went on to confess that while she doesn't have one "style icon", she has a special appreciation for her fellow musicians.

"I don't really have a style icon but I really admire the way people dress like GaGa, Rihanna and Gwen Stefani. It's good to be inspired by singers who write music and dress incredibly - rather than models and people in the fashion industry who dress immaculately anyway because it's their style," she said.

"I really love the way Courtney Love dresses, she's got that grungy thing. Rihanna I love, she always looks cool. And she's hot, very hot!"

Goulding recently became the newest celebrity ambassador of SoBe energy drinks for the company's UK launch.

She previously admitted that she likes all different genres of music and finds inspiration for her own songs from many artists.
