will.i.am: 'I chased Johnny Depp'

will.i.am has admitted that he "chased" Johnny Depp so he could get a picture taken with him.

The musician explained that he is a huge fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean actor and was determined to meet him at a recent event.

He told Look: "Who do I get starstruck over? Johnny Depp. I chased that dude around the building.

"We were backstage at this year's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards and he'd just finished presenting and somebody sad, 'Johnny Depp just walked in'. And I was like, Where did Johnny Depp go?'

"So I found him and took a picture of him. I'm a big fan, I'm wowed by him. He's a respectful artist and never caught up in bulls**t drama. He's not Hollywood. He's like us."

The Black Eyed Peas star also revealed that he really likes U2 and was pleased that he had the opportunity to work with them.

Asked how he chooses who to collaborate with, he replied: "I don't know. Time. Whenever a slot opens.

"Even though I didn't get paid I worked with U2. I still got paid - with inspiration."
