Courtney Love: 'I'm tired of druggie label'

Courtney Love has confessed that she is "tired" of being known as a drug addict.

Speaking to The Fix, the Hole rocker insisted that she is unfairly labelled as a user even though she no longer engages in recreational drug use and has changed her life for the better.

"I've been maligned as this drug freak for years, and I'm getting tired of it. That's not the way I live anymore. Obviously I've had a lot of issues in the past, but that was years ago," she explained. "Since then, I've worked really hard to get myself together, but for some reason I've remained a punch-line.

"You know, I try to work a good programme. I don't do smack. I don't do crack anymore. I've never taken Special K or Ecstasy. I've been tempted, but every time I've wanted to try Ecstasy, I was talked out of it. I did do M.D.M.A., however, a very long time ago. I've always been an early adapter. But I still can't escape the stigma for some reason."

Love previously blasted Kelly Osbourne for allegedly calling her a "crackhead", later claiming that she has saved Osbourne's life in the past.

Love recently said that she is on the lookout for a rich boyfriend.
