Ian Turpie has been honoured at the 2011 Mo Awards.
The Australian television personality, who is best known as the host of The Price Is Right, attended the event to receive the Hall of Fame award despite the fact that he is currently battling cancer.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Turpie looked frail following chemotherapy treatment as he beat Col Joye, Vince Sorrenti, Barry Crocker, Sandy Scott and Jade Hurley to the prestigious prize.
At the annual event, singer Jenifer Green won the Peter Allen 'Performer of the Year' and 'Female Performer of the Year' titles, while Adam Scicluna was voted the 'Best Male Vocalist'. Guy Sebastian won 'Rock Performer of the Year' and Keith Scott was named 'Comedian of the Year'.
Turpie began cancer treatment in February this year and requested that he and his family be given privacy.
Fellow entertainment star Derryn Hinch has spoken out many times this year about his ongoing battle with cancer. He is currently on the transplant list for a new liver.
