Ruby Rose 'nearly vomited' on Jessie J

Ruby Rose has revealed that she almost "vomited" on Jessie J when she met her.

The Australian fashion designer and TV personality, who recently launched her own series called MTV Style, said that she was so in awe of singer Jessie J when she interviewed her for the show that she warned her she might be "sick" in her lap.

Rose told The Daily Telegraph: "She is amazing. Her style is 100% unique to her. The first thing I said to her when she sat down was, 'I think I'm gonna be sick. I think I'm gonna vomit in your lap.'

"She was like, 'I don't really know what to say to that,' and I was just like, 'Yeah, I wouldn't either.' We had a great interview and then we went and saw Katy Perry, so it was really nice.

Rose also revealed that she wanted to do her own fashion programme because it is so "different", adding: "We're kind of limited in what we get to see of the industry. We get to see fashion TV, but that's just runway after runway.

"There's no kind of commendation, no commentary and no real insight. People generally want to know how they can get into [the industry] and what it's like when you're in it."

Rose launched her debut Milk and Honey fashion collection on a Melbourne tram in September last year.

She revealed earlier this week that keeping busy with work has helped distract her from the recent death of her godfather and boxing legend Lionel Rose.

The Jessie J episode of Ruby Rose's MTV Style will be aired on May 29.
