Dec Donnelly, Thompson 'hold friend meeting'

Declan Donnelly has reportedly attempted to forge a truce with his ex-girlfriend Georgie Thompson.

According to The Sun, the former couple arranged a meeting at London's K West hotel on Wednesday to "break the ice" and discuss whether they could turn their two-year romance into a friendship.

A source said: "Dec hadn't seen Georgie since the split. The feeling was that they needed to break the ice. They wanted to work out if they could still be friends after the collapse of their relationship.

"They had a cordial conversation, a few drinks and called it a night. They share a lot of the same friends so it would have been awkward if they hadn't spoken and then bumped into each other on a night out."

Donnelly and Thompson announced their separation back in April.

The Britain's Got Talent host later claimed to be "upset and disappointed" by the split.
