Rachael Taylor: 'I've never felt better'

Rachael Taylor has revealed that she has never been happier.

The Australian actress, who split from Underbelly star Matthew Newton last year after he allegedly attacked her in a Rome hotel, said that she feels "the best" that she has ever felt since getting together with her 25 co-star Josh Lawson.

Taylor told The Sunday Telegraph: "All the things I want are something to do every day, something to look forward to and somebody to love. I am in a good spot.

"I don't want to be too saccharine about it, but I am really happy and I really didn't expect for it to feel so good. 27 feels good. This is the best I've ever felt.

"I am enormously fortunate and a little bit astounded myself at it. It's been an incredible 12 months and I am doing a series of things that make me really happy at the moment."

The Grey's Anatomy star said of Lawson: "My Josh. Josh has been a really great influence on me and I adore him. We are really happy. We have a deep friendship, a deep respect."

Earlier this year, Newton had to appear in court for breaching Taylor's AVO against him by trying to get in contact with her. Her friends later revealed that she was feeling "strong" and "moving on" from her relationship with Newton.
