The Australian actor, who is best known for playing Ben Rafter in family drama Packed to the Rafters, sparked rumours when he attended the premiere for Lloyd Webber's show Love Never Dies in Melbourne at the weekend.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the musical composer is considering reviving the musical in Australia and wants Sheridan to star in it.
Onlookers said that Sheridan, who announced that he wanted a music career in 2009, looked very happy as he attended the event with his cousin Jessica.
Ben Elton, who co-wrote Love Never Dies with Lloyd Webber, revealed at the premiere that collaborating with him was like "working with God".
He also said that he is currently in talks to work with Russell Crowe on an upcoming movie based on his book First Casualty.
Elton's debut Aussie TV show Live From Planet Earth was axed earlier this year after only two weeks on air. Television bosses were said to be "disappointed" with the poor viewer ratings.
