T.I. has been credited with helping 14 of his fellow inmates at the Forrest City Correctional Facility receive visits from their loved ones.

The rapper, who is currently serving an 11-month sentence for a probation violation at the Arkansas prison, paid for a bus trip for 46 friends and family members of prisoners to reunite with those behind bars.

"I've been blessed to receive tons and tons of mail from my fans, family and friends, as well as get visits on a regular basis," T.I. told MTV News in a statement.

"Unfortunately some guys aren't as fortunate, good dudes in here that haven't been able to see their loved ones in years. Their families can't afford the trip so I wanted to help out."

The outing - called "To See A Loved One" - departed from Georgia and Alabama on Sunday and Monday.

T.I. was previously punished after having sexual contact with his wife Tiny during visiting hours at the facility.
