Joan Collins 'selling Manhattan apartment'

Joan Collins has announced that she plans to sell her New York City apartment.

The actress - who also owns property in Los Angeles, London and Paris - admitted that she can no longer afford to keep all four spaces as the monthly costs are too high.

"We always knew that there would probably come a time when either our LA home or this one would have to go and we have made the sad decision that it will be this place," Collins told Hello.

"Many people have said to us, 'How on earth can you afford to keep four homes?' And the fact is, in this day and age, we can't."

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment, located in Manhattan's legendary Dorchester building, will be listed at $2.9m (£1.78m). It has a monthly maintenance fee of $3,110 (£1,821).

Collins was recently tipped for a guest appearance in an episode of the upcoming series of Benidorm.

She previously hinted that she may reprise her role as Alexis Colby in the upcoming big screen adaptation of the hit 1980s TV series Dynasty.
