Christie Brinkley: "I haven't given up on love"

Christie Brinkley has insisted that she still believes that she will find true love.

In an interview with Weekend magazine, the model and actress - who is currently appearing in Chicago on Broadway - confessed that she has high hopes for her romantic future and is certain that the "perfect guy" will find his way into her life.

Brinkley explained: "I haven't given up on love and I know the perfect guy is out there for me. I'm not seeing anyone at the moment... who has the time? But I know he's out there."

"I think it's important for a guy to be funny and kind and interesting, maybe kind of cute too. I think it would be good if it wasn't someone who was after my money. That would be nice. I plan to spend it all beforehand, then I can find him."

Brinkley has been divorced four times, having been married to Jean-François Allaux, Billy Joel, Richard Taubman and Peter Cook. She has three children, one daughter from her marriage to Joel and two sons from her relationship with Cook.

She previously said that she relied on humour to get her through her divorce from Cook.
