Michelle Rodriguez has been released from jail after serving time for a drink-driving offence.

The actress, who plays Ana Lucia in Lost, had been sentenced to five days in jail but only stayed at the Oahu Community Correctional Center for 65 hours as time spent in custody after her arrest was taken into account.

A spokesman explained that Rodriguez lived in a dorm with 60 other female inmates, and was allowed to read and watch television.

The star chose the jail time and a fine of $500 rather than performing 240 hours of community service.
