Bret Michaels: 'Daughter is karmic payback'

Bret Michaels has described his 5-year-old daughter Jorja as his karmic "payback".

In an interview with Noisecreep, the Poison rocker praised Jorja's "energy and creativity", admitting that the child reminds him of himself as a kid.

"Jorja is 5 years old and my absolute payback. Do you know how things come back as karma? Well that's Jorja for me," he explained. "She's got an abundance of energy and creativity and doesn't follow any kind of formal rules. But one [thing] that is really cool about her is that she's extremely witty."

Michaels continued: "From what my mum tells me, Jorja is a lot like I was when I was a kid. She came out kicking and screaming. Where [older daughter] Raine is more of an old soul and laid back like her mum, Kristi."

Michaels announced his engagement to long-time partner and mother of his children Kristi Gibson in December 2010, later describing the experience as "awesome".

He has experienced numerous health problems in the past year resulting from a spontaneous brain haemorrhage he suffered in April 2010. He later confessed that he feels lucky to be alive and credited his family with helping him get through the crisis.
