Kingston is said to be in a stable condition at the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. The singer was seriously injured after the jet ski he was riding with a female friend collided with a bridge on Sunday.
CNN sources now claim that Kingston should recover from his injuries in six weeks.
The 'Beautiful Girls' singer suffered a broken jaw, fractured wrist and water in his lungs following the accident.
Cassandra Sanchez, who suffered minor injuries, explained that Kingston had 'lost control' of the jet ski before it hit the bridge.
Government officials have ruled out the possibility that Kingston was under the influence of alcohol.
