The actor, who stars in Bad Teacher opposite another former girlfriend Cameron Diaz, told Vanity Fair that he has not spoken to the 'Till The World Ends' performer for "nine or ten years".
"I wish her the best - that goes without saying," Timberlake explained.
"We were two birds of the same feather - small-town kids, doing the same thing. But then you become adults, and the way you were as kids doesn't make any sense. I won't speak on her, but at least for me, I was a totally different person."
He added: "I just don't think we were normal; there was nothing normal about our existence. We spent way too much time being the biggest thing for teenyboppers."
In the same interview, Timberlake admitted that Jessica Biel, with whom he split in March this year, is still the "most significant person" in his life.
Last month, the actor and musician was spotted with Olivia Wilde, fuelling rumours that the two are dating.
