The singer-actress - real name Dana Owens - pointed to the example of other successful working women as proof that it is possible to balance a career and motherhood.
"I won't be the first person who's had a career and had a family," the Dilemma star vowed to USA Today. "When that happens, it will happen organically, and my business will have to adjust to my personal life."
Queen Latifah further explained that she always puts her work second to spending quality time with family and other loved ones.
"I'm not going to stop life for business," she added. "My life, my family, my friends - those things are much more important than business."
Joyful Noise, which is released on January 13, 2012 in the US, will mark Latfiah's return to the big screen.
